Lament for a Leak

Yesterday, I discovered my bedroom windows were leaking in a rainstorm. Badly. This set off a round of catastrophic thinking.

When I wrote my book Praying with the Psalmists, my whole premise is that you can use patterns from Psalms to pray. And my favorite form is the Lament. No problem is too petty to lament over! So I took my own petty problem to God — and feel ever so much better after I’m done.
